- The 50 mhz 060 has been clocked at around 80 mips, which is not quite as fast
- as the P90. The 060's are executing 2 instructions per clock cycle as opposed
- to the higher clock and 1 inst. with the P90. As an employee of Motorola I
- would caution anybody with regard to the availability as well as replacements
- of 060 processors and consider that Motorola is only manufacturing a limited
- quantity for certain customers. There might be a 66 mhz. 060 at a later date
- but the design limitation (superscalar) will keep it from going any higher.
- Motorola wants to can the 060 and get on with the PowerPC.
